Reads a raw VCF, 23andMe, or AncestryDNA file and explains your results in plain language — entirely offline, nothing ever uploaded.
62 well-studied variants today, with new ones added automatically — no account, no key, nothing to sign up for.

Louis Byun — Developer
Built MyGeneLog end to end — the Windows application (React/TypeScript front end, Rust back end) and mygenelog.com on Flask and PostgreSQL. Wrote the genome-matching engine behind Analyze, which reads raw VCF, 23andMe and AncestryDNA exports and resolves them against the variant catalogue entirely on the user's own machine, so a genome file is never transmitted anywhere. On the data side: the PostgreSQL schema and the encryption that protects stored credentials, the public API that needs no key, and a review pipeline that distributes tasks across multiple AI agents to collect new research, check every figure and citation against its primary source, and automatically pull a page down when the two stop matching.
Something not working? The app is actively maintained — report it and we'll fix it and ship an update. Your genome file never needs to be sent to us.
